-Reserve

Reserve fire fighters fill a very important part in the operations of our Fire Department. Reserves are required to attend two training sessions per month, in addition to a minimum of a 12 hour “sleeper” shift. While on sleeper shifts, they train and respond on all 911 calls along with the career duty crew.

Training starts at the basics, and slowly progresses to more advanced material. Many of our reserves complete their FF1 and FF2 certification.

Several of our reserve fire fighters have secured full-time positions within our Department, or many others across the State.

In return for exceptional training and experience, Lockwood Fire District requires motivation, dedication, reliability and availability when needed.

Reserves are required to attend one training session per month, in addition to a minimum of a 24-hour sleeper.
